1. Controller
The data controller is Atmoswave Music Group LLC, 254 Chapman Rd, Ste 208 #16204, Newark, Delaware 19702, United States. Privacy questions and requests: support@atmoswavemusic.com.
2. What we collect
Account data: email address, password (stored as a hash by our authentication provider), artist or band name, profile details you add. Content data: the recordings, artwork and metadata you upload for distribution, including contributor names and royalty splits. Billing data: your subscription plan and payment status; card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. Payout data: the payout method details you provide (for example a PayPal email). Usage data: server logs, approximate device and browser information needed to run and secure the service. Fan data: when a fan pre-saves a release through a smart link, we collect the email address they submit on behalf of the artist concerned.
3. Why we process it
We process data to provide the service under our contract with you (distribution, royalties, payouts, support), to meet legal obligations (accounting, tax), and on the basis of legitimate interests in securing and improving the service. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who receives it
Data is shared with processors and partners only as needed to run the service: our infrastructure and database provider (Supabase), our payment processor (Stripe), our distribution partner that carries releases to stores, and the stores themselves — which receive release metadata such as artist names, titles and contributor credits, because that is what publishing music requires. Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement.
5. International transfers
Our primary infrastructure is hosted in the European Union. Where a processor transfers data outside the EEA (for example Stripe in the United States), the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
Account and content data are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to settle royalties afterwards. Accounting records are kept for the period required by law. Pre-save fan emails are kept until the associated release campaign ends or the fan requests deletion. You can request account deletion at support@atmoswavemusic.com.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to support@atmoswavemusic.com; we respond within one month. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.
8. Cookies
The portal uses only essential cookies: authentication session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.
9. Changes
We will announce material changes to this policy by email or in the portal before they take effect.
